Bluh! I just got back from playing basketball at the AC for two
and a half hours! Whenever you're not in shape like me, that much
running up and down the court will literally leave you feeling sick to
your stomach. It's worth it, though. Nothing a good night's rest and two Powerades can't handle.
The other night I was watching the Mavs game (they won - whoo! - but
that's another story), and at about 10:30 the telecast was interrupted
by static and a very authoritative sounding voice telling me a tornado
had touched down in Collin County. "Get to the lowest, innermost
section of your living establishment," he said. But UTD is on the
very southern tip of Collin County, and the storm was up in the
northern half, a few cities away. So I went outside. The
moon was shining brightly...it was clear to the south. But up
north, this huge cloud billowed up really high, with lightning all over
the place. Pretty awe-inspiring, especially considering that an
F3 tornado was on the ground only about a 20-minute drive from where I
was standing.
I start a mini-mester next Monday at Richland. World Religions. Should be quite interesting.
